What's wrong with me?
When friendships ended, when relationship wasn't in the cards, when family was busy and job searching was hard, I asked this question every time. I mean, there had to be something wrong with me, right? I tried my hardest, gave my all and did my best and yet, everything was crushed. No matter how hard I try, it never worked out for me.
Perhaps you feel the same way. You've been doing all you can do and it fails. Every. Single. Time. You're tired of it and then you find yourself sitting in your thoughts, asking yourself: What's wrong with me? You're not alone. I want you to know there is nothing wrong with you and here's how I know:
1. You are God's creation
When God created everything - including you! - in Genesis chapter 1, verse 31 (NLT) gives us hope. "Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good." To God, you looked very good to Him! Yes, I know you weren't there when He created the first human beings, but He didn't just see Adam and Eve and said they were very good to Him. He saw me. He saw you. He saw everyone through the creation of man, and it was good to Him. You were created with purpose and with the goodness of God.
"You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous-how well I know it."
-Psalms 139:13-14
2. You are loved
"For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life (John 3:16 AMPC)."
I love the way the first sentence says "For God so greatly loved and dearly prized..." Switch the word "world" and place your name there. "For God so greatly love and dearly prized you!" God sent His Son - His one and only Son, just to show you how greatly and dearly loved you are. It may be hard to face many problems and especially within, but God tells us in Psalms 91:9, "If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, these evils will not touch you." These evils include the internal battle. Allow God's greatly and dearly love to overwhelm you to the point you don't even move when that question- what's wrong with me?- pops up.
3. You are chosen
"God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and his Spirit has made you holy... (1 Peter 1:2 NLT)." I struggled with feeling chosen, wanted or enough. Hint to the question I asked myself a thousand times. I've learned we must take God at His Word and know that we are chosen. We've been chosen by God a long time ago! That's encouraging, to know you were chosen before you felt unchosen. When the devil's lie comes to your mind, then you need to remind him of God's truth. Fight the devil with the Word of God. It proves true! And it is very true that you are chosen by God our Heavenly Father.
I don't know if these words encouraged you or not, but at the end of the day, know that there is nothing wrong with you. Life happens. We aren't exempt from struggles, pain and problems, but we have someone we can go to and seek assurance that we are created out of goodness, loved beyond we could ever imagine and chosen before we were born. God is so good and to Him, so are you.
Have a blessed day!
(I've been slacking on posting every Friday. I will do my best this year to stay on top of it. If not every Friday, it may be a random weekday, like today lol. I may even try to do some adventurous posts! We'll see 😉 Also in the next post or two, I want to share a my recent testimony with you all. All I can say right now is we serve a mighty miracle worker!)

Scripture of the Day:
"If you listen to these commands of the LORD your God that I am giving you today, and if you carefully obey them, the LORD will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom."
